Today is such a tiring day! I woke up early in morning, as I was excited about the performance in the evening. This will be the first performance I will ever participate in the Chinese orchestra! My senior told me that there will be a lot people attending the concert, I think, and Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong will be there as the Guest-of-Honor!
By the way, I play the Er Hu, a Chinese instrument. Within a week, my friends and I managed to play nine different songs and this is due to the efforts that we put in, we spent time staying back for training, even during free time we would practise. However, all our efforts had sort of gone down the drain!
Firstly, when we reached the Mandarin Garden, we thought that we would be performing indoor, but it turned out to be an outdoor performance. Not only that, we were play beside a fishpond, what had happened to the people, did they turn into the fishes in the pond? When we performing, the weather was quite bad, as it seemed like it was going to rain. To make matters worse, the wind kept blowing our scores, flipping the pages. Though, other than that, the performance went on quite smoothly and I think that the residents there enjoyed it a lot as I could see smiles on each and everyone’s faces.
After the performance, we went back home. Until now, I am still unsure that if I should be disappointed due to the fact that there were so little people watching the ‘concert’ or happy that I managed to brighten up someone’s day.

Blog assignment 2— One of the most tiring days of my life!
16th January 2008
Yesterday was one of the most tiring days of my life. The first lesson of the day was physical education (P.E.), which is not really my favourite subject as I am not a sporty person and I do not like to sweat a lot. After school I have to go for Chinese orchestra to practise, as we will be performing the day after tomorrow, I am so excited!
It was 5.30p.m. by the time my CCA ended and after having my dinner, it was already around 6.00p.m. Homework and project s are piling up day by day. I have heard that there will be a mathematics project coming soon this week; so far there are projects such as literature, English, OPW (which consists of history and geography.), so many projects and so little time was given!
After having my dinner, Xun Yang, my literature partner came to my house and did the project with me. After spending around two to three hours, we finally managed to choose a good poem and gather information of the poem. When Xun Yang returned home, I rushed through all my homework. By the time I had finished doing my homework, it was already around midnight. Thus, this entry was supposedly entered at 15th January but I was too exhausted so I brought it forward to today.

Blog assignment 1—A miserable day
14 January 2008
Today is such a miserable day! I finally managed to finish my design and technology homework at two o’clock in the morning. Well, how early is that? Due to this, I was too worn out and overslept, as I did not hear the alarm clock ringing. As a result, I missed the school bus so instead; I went for the public bus.
By the time I reached school, it was already 7.20 a.m. and fortunately I reached the school just in time. However, luck was not on my side all the time. When I reached the hall, I found something was amiss that everyone had and I do not. Oh no! Today is Monday and I had forgotten to bring my tie! It must have been because of me rushing when I was at home which caused me to forget to bring it. As a result, I was punished for the very first time for not bringing my tie. Not only that, when I opened my bag, I found out that I did not bring any reading materials. Luckily, nobody noticed it. Later, class went on as usual.
However, after the recess, the worst of the worse occurred. It was said that the design and technology project must be handed in by week three. Well, that statement is true. However, the teachers said that the project is due by week three of the design and technology lesson, which is next week! This means that none of this would have occurred if I did not do finish my work!
Lesson learnt: one little misconception may cause a huge difference in result. However, one good thing about this is without all these events that had happened, I would not be able to write this entry!
